The Hanging Gardens of Babylon is on the east bank of the River Euphrates about 50km south of Baghdad, Iraq. Some stories indicate that the gardens of Babylon towered hundreds of feet in the air. It was a wonder to travellers' eyes. The outer walls were 56 miles in length, 80 feet thick and 320 feet high.
It was said to have been ruled by King Nebuchadnezzar 11 who had ruled for 43 years starting in 605 BC with a wife.
